Influence of the DBP on Removal Torque and Mobility of the Implants After Immediate Implantation



Abstract
The aim of this study is clinical evaluation of the influence of the demineralized bone powder(DBP) to the fixture implanted in the immediatedly extracted socket. The DBP was packed into the space between the fixture and the extracted tooth
socket.
The
experimental animals were 12 adult male dogs weighing about 20 kg in average. which were fed under same condition for a month before operation Bonelock(r) system implant fixtures(Leibinger Co. manufactured) were used as experimental study.
After anesthesis of animals with ketamine hydorchloride, implants were installed in the extracted sockets of all incisors and premolars, and packed the prefabricated demineralized bone powder into the rooms between extraction socket and fixture
in
the
experimental group, and without DBP, those were used as the control group.
The experimental animals were divided into 6 group according to the course of the time after fixture implantation as follow -70, 90, 110, 130, 150, 170 days after operation. The measuring of shearing force of implant fixtures was done by
Periotest(r)
(Siemens AG, Bensheim, Germany) as well as Torque gauge(Tohnichi Co. Japan) which is able to measure from 1 to 90 Ncm.
@ES Obtained results were as follow:
@EN 1. The amount of removal torque force of fixture in experimental groups was bigger than that of the control group.
2. The fixture of experimental group showed less mobility than that of the control group.
3. According to the period of time in experimental groups, the mobility and the removal force showed favorable results.
4. The result assure that DBP grafting into socket showed accelerate the osseointegration o bone to the fixture.
5. Newly formed compacted bone were observed along side with implant fixture surface in most cases of experimental group.
